For the best part of the last two years I have constantly carried a camera around with me, wherever I go, in the hope of finding interesting textures to use in artwork. I have covered many areas in the south of England to do this. Mostly in the counties of Hampshire and West Sussex. I have found, however, that a number of the photos that I have taken don't quite fit into the texture photography category but are some how still interesting images. Two years ago I would never have said that photography was my thing but it seems to be an area I have slipped into. There's an old adage that says "I don't know much about art but I know what I like" and this is certainly true of these images. I'm certain professional photographers would look at these images and start talking about Photoshop filters that I've used, image adjustments that I've made and the many ways I've used to manipulate the said images. To me this is not important. For me it is the image that is important. So for the record many of these images have been manipulated to create the desired effect. I have to say, for my part, that I find many of images here visually arresting. I hope you do too. The specific places the following photographs cover include Chichester, Havant, Arundel, Titchfield, Westbourne and Worthing.
